Job Summary

Summary

Position Summary
This position works with Development leadership in establishing best practices policies and strategy. The Senior Director oversees development communications and prospect research to provide the materials and potential donor pool necessary for fundraising success The position also supports revenue forecasting and donor data analysis to guide strategic decisions shape departmental vision and drive donor pipeline growth.

Essential Duties

  1. Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication leadership guidance and resources. Determines staff qualifications and competency:recruits interviews selects hires trains orients mentors evaluates coaches counsels disciplines and rewards. Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance.
  2. Drives strategic data-led fundraising efforts by providing vision and direction to Development Operations.
  3. Oversees and manages strategic and administrative functions of Development including communications prospect research database management pipeline development and stewardship.
  4. Oversees departmental expense reconciliation and revenue forecasting.
  5. Responsible for database management maintenance and reporting including tracking metrics and data analytics.
  6. Support key metrics for fundraising success and provide progress reporting to all departmental staff and key stakeholders.
  7. Reviews and updates current standard operating procedures to optimize the Development Operations functions creating new procedures as necessary.
  8. Provides strategic oversight of the prospect management function ensuring strategies are developed to expand the prospect pipeline for portfolios to move donors through the qualification process.
  9. Serves as key liaison across Planned Giving Special Events and Major Gift teams to build strengthened portfolios and pipeline of donors.
  10. Serves as department liaison to the Finance department.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelors degree required.
  2. Work Experience: A minimum of 7 years of fundraising or related experience required.
  3. Special Training Certification or Licensure: Experience with Raisers Edge database preferred.

Salary Range: $156026.13 - $206344.55
