Job Summary
Physical Therapist Acute Inpatient Rehab
Location: Fort Pierce FL
Pay Range: $36.53/hr to $53.20/hr
Schedule: Full-time Days (Rotating Weekends)
A 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Provides interventional and therapeutic care including open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery pediatrics orthopedics oncology nuclear medicine adult and pediatric emergency services and diagnostic services. We also offer inpatient and outpatient surgical services.
The Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We are verified by the American College of Surgeons. We offer a freestanding ER in Vero Beach. We provide emergency treatment for adults and children. We also offer the areas only Level III Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units. Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist (PT) provides high-quality patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Physical Therapist completes patient assessments and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans focusing on goal achievement patient engagement and positive patient experience. The Physical Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patients physical therapy to support patients throughout the continuum of care.
Job Responsibilities
You will provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
You will assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
You will provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care at patients home using procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function consistent with the physicians plan of care.
You will instruct patient/family/caregiver in the use of therapies exercises therapeutic appliances and/or prosthetic devices to be used outside of therapy sessions.
You will prioritize caseload determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.
Job Qualifications

Job Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Licensed Physical Therapy
Masters Degree or Bachelors Degree
Must have at least 1 yr PT experience
