Job Summary
We are currently seeking a caring reliable and professional CPI-Certified Caregiver to support individuals who may experience behavioral or emotional challenges. This role is ideal for someone with strong de-escalation skills excellent communication abilities and a calm confident approach in stressful situations. The CPI-Certified Caregiver plays a key role in maintaining safety preventing crisis escalation and supporting clients in achieving stability and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)-approved techniques to recognize early warning signs and safely prevent or de-escalate crisis situations.
Provide direct supervision and support to clients according to individualized care and behavioral support plans.
Assist clients with daily living activities while promoting independence dignity and respect.
Respond appropriately and professionally during crisis situations following company policies and CPI guidelines.
Maintain accurate timely and professional documentation of daily activities behavioral observations and incident reports.
Collaborate closely with supervisors case managers and care team members to ensure consistent high-quality care.
Help create and maintain a safe therapeutic and supportive environment for both clients and staff.
Required Qualifications
Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification (required).
Minimum of 5 years of caregiving experience.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Ability to remain calm professional and focused in high-pressure or unpredictable situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent patience empathy and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in behavioral health social services education or healthcare.
Associates or bachelors degree in a related field.
Previous experience working with individuals experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges.
