As a Senior Product Engineer you will own the end-to-end development of backend services in Scala managing everything from core banking systems to global flight rewards while shaping the engineering culture of a fast-growing startup.

What you will do:

Build and scale production-grade microservices using Scala and Kafka to power real-time payments and rewards.
Design resilient event-driven architectures and RESTful APIs that integrate with internal systems and external lifestyle partners.
Manage and optimize containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes ensuring high availability and performance across the stack.

The ideal candidate:

Expert-level proficiency in Scala with a deep understanding of functional programming patterns and event-driven architectures like Kafka.
Extensive experience building and operating distributed microservices within cloud environments specifically GCP and Kubernetes.
A product-first mindset that prioritizes solving customer problems and delivering business value over technical perfection in isolated silos.
