The Hospitals of Providence Rehabilitation Hospital East in El Paso Texas is a dedicated inpatient rehab facility focused on helping patients regain independence after serious illness injury or surgery.
24/7 Availability: Open around the clock to support patients through every stage of recovery.
Comprehensive Rehab Services: Offers intensive physical occupational and speech therapy for individuals recovering from stroke brain injury orthopedic trauma and other complex conditions.
How youll contribute
Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing speech-language and therapy needs.
Essential Functions
Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patients condition.
Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.
Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
Supervises activities of clinical fellows students and other support personnel.
Qualifications and requirements:
Education: Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology Required
Licenses: Licensed Speech Therapist; Current licensure with TX Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
