Job Summary

The Physician Assistant is responsible to provide healthcare services to patients in both the clinic and in surgery under direction and responsibility of physician(s).

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday hours may vary based on the surgery schedule and needs of the supervising physician out of our Edina clinic.

Midwest Plastic Surgery is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) a group of local medical practices owned and led by its physicians on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist physician in the clinic (e.g. room and prep patients; order x-rays; compile patient medical data including health history and results of physical examination)
  • Assist surgeon in operating room (e.g. pre-surgery planning position patient in O.R. check for proper instruments assist in surgical procedure close wound remove patient)
  • Implement patient management plans record progress and assist in provision of care
  • Consultations with (phone or in-person) patients
  • Rounding and call as required by supervising Physician
  • Prescribe medications
  • Occasionally participate in community functions relating to outreach events throughout the year
  • Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Minnesota Board of Medical Practice registration/license
  • DEA registration

Working Conditions:

  • Frequentlyâlift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.

  • Requires the ability to stand walk bend and move continuously throughout the shift.

  • Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing pulling and reaching.

  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.

  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.

  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g. computer phone printer).
