Play a vital role in improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people by delivering culturally responsive community-focused care. These roles offer the opportunity to work within a supportive Aboriginal Health Team using a primary health care approach to strengthen wellbeing across the community.
About the Role:
As an Aboriginal Health Worker (ASO3) you will be an integral member of the Riverland Aboriginal Health Team delivering a broad range of primary health care services to Aboriginal health consumers and carers. Using your experience and cultural knowledge you will provide clinics case management supportive counselling group programs community development and education activities and mental health promotion. You will also coordinate referrals to appropriate agencies to ensure holistic culturally safe care that responds to individual and community needs.
As an Aboriginal Health Worker Trainee (ASO2) you will work as part of the Riverland Aboriginal Health Team while developing your skills and experience in primary health care delivery. Under guidance and support you will assist in providing clinics case management supportive counselling group activities community development and education and mental health promotion initiatives. This role offers a strong foundation for learning while contributing meaningfully to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal consumers and carers.
