Pay Rate: $17.50
Employment Type: Contract 6 Months (Potential Extension Based on Business Need)
Shift: A Shift 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Schedule: Monday Friday (Overtime as Required)
Location: Fairport NY 100% On-Site

Position Summary

Tekberry is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Support Technician to support daily manufacturing and production operations for one of our clients in Fairport NY. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient production workflows through machine setup support material handling documentation sanitation and logistics activities. The ideal candidate is dependable safety-focused and eager to learn and support team operations in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Core Production Support

• Assist with material handling including moving raw materials staging components and replenishing supplies.
• Prepare machines or workstations for production activities including basic setup cleaning and material loading.
• Support production flow by ensuring parts tools and materials are available as needed.

Administrative & Documentation

• Enter and update data in production systems (e.g. work orders inventory transactions).
• Maintain accurate production logs and records to support compliance and traceability.
• Update status boards or digital dashboards as required.

Logistics Support

• Move finished goods or components between designated work areas.
• Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams for material transfers when applicable.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.

Sanitation & Safety

• Perform routine cleaning of work areas equipment and workstations.
• Properly dispose of waste materials including hazardous materials if trained.
• Follow all safety PPE and cleanroom protocols.
• Identify and report safety hazards equipment issues or process concerns promptly.

Quality & Compliance

• Conduct basic visual inspections to identify defects or contamination.
• Verify materials meet cleanliness labeling and handling requirements.
• Support compliance with ISO GMP and other applicable quality standards.

Training & Team Support

• Shadow experienced operators to learn standard operating procedures.
• Assist in training new hires on basic production tasks and safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members leads and supervisors.

Additional Duties

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support special projects or emergency production needs as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Cleanroom environment is prevalent.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required including safety shoes safety glasses and cleanroom garments (frock gloves facemask etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Willingness to work overtime based on production demand.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• This position is located in a Department of Defense (DOD) facility. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals and compliant with all DOD requirements.

Desired Experience

• 1 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on experience with glass manufacturing or cosmetic glass inspection preferred.
• Experience following detailed work instructions and process checklists.
• Demonstrated ability to execute standardized processes with attention to detail.
