St. Francis Medical Center is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a contract-to-permanent opportunity supporting a high-acuity womens services unit. This role allows you to start on contract evaluate the team and unit and transition into a long-term position if its the right fit.
Assignment Overview
- Contract-to-permanent opportunity
- Initial contract: 10 weeks
- Start date: January 26 2026
- Schedule: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend and major holidays required
- On call up to 24 hours every 6 weeks
- Interviews: Profile review followed by manager interview
Unit Details
- 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit
- Typical ratios 1:1 2 (staffing dependent)
- High-acuity patient population
- May float within womens services or to other L&D units in Richmond
- Equipment includes GE monitors warmers pulse oximetry and blood glucose monitoring
Required Experience
- 1 2 years of recent hospital-based Labor & Delivery experience
- Antepartum intrapartum C-section postpartum care
- Magnesium sulfate administration
- Fetal heart monitoring and OR experience
Certifications Required
- Active RN license (compact or state)
- BLS ACLS NRP FHM
Preferred
- EPIC experience
- Perinatal Centricity (QS)
- Ability to scrub or assist in deliveries
