Job Summary
Job Title: Inpatient Dietitian
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Position Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $45$57 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule & Shift
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: MondayFriday
Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Total Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Weekend Coverage: Required (as scheduled)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Inpatient Dietitian to deliver high-quality Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to a diverse inpatient population including neonatal pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients. This role emphasizes comprehensive nutritional assessment intervention monitoring and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes and support overall quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans
Implement diet modifications nutrition support therapies and supplements as appropriate
Monitor patient response and adjust interventions to meet clinical goals
Collaborate with physicians nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Document nutrition care accurately within the medical record
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Licensed Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) in New York State
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian in a healthcare setting
Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
Availability for weekday shifts with scheduled weekend coverage
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of inpatient or critical care nutrition experience
Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential
Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition support
