Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (Local & Travel)
Location: Syracuse NY
Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Schedule: 3 days/week 12-hour shifts 36 hours/week

Travel eligibility requires residence outside a 100-mile radius of Syracuse NY
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Respiratory Therapist to support an acute care hospital setting in Syracuse NY. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable working independently with minimal orientation. Prior pediatric experience is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapies
Initiate monitor and manage oxygen therapy
Assist physicians with initiation and management of mechanical ventilation
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as needed
Conduct pulmonary function testing
Perform radial arterial punctures
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care across acute care units
Function independently with limited supervision following orientation
Qualifications
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license/registration
Minimum 2 years of post-degree acute care experience
Pediatric experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
