Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton VA is currently hiring a Full Time Day Shift Echocardiographer for the Noninvasive Lab!

$10000 Sign on Bonus Available to Qualified Candidates!

Hours

• Monday Friday: 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4:30pm along with call and working every 5th week - off Friday prior to weekend call but work Sat and Sun 8a-12pm on call from 12p-8am and then on call Sunday from 12pm-6am.

Overview

An Echocardiographer also known as a cardiac sonographer specializes in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart. These professionals work closely with cardiologists to evaluate heart structures functions and blood flow aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Performs two dimensional echocardiograms Doppler echocardiograms transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (Associates or Bachelors in Cardiovascular Technology) OR a High School Diploma along with significant experience will be considered in lieu of education in accordance with IAC Guidelines

Certification/Licensure

• Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS RCS or RDCS) within 12 months of hire

• ACLS not required for hire but must obtain within 90 days

• BLS Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
