Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Sonographer (Echocardiographer) to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations. This role is responsible for producing high-quality images of the heart while ensuring patient safety comfort and professionalism throughout the procedure.
The Echocardiographer works closely with cardiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and effective patient care. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology along with excellent communication skills is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment
Produce high-quality cardiac images for physician interpretation
Ensure patient comfort safety and confidentiality throughout procedures
Accurately document findings and maintain imaging records
Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare team members
Explain procedures clearly to patients and families
Maintain ultrasound equipment and adhere to quality standards
Follow facility policies protocols and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program required
ARDMS registered or registry-eligible in Adult Echocardiography required
Minimum of 1 year echocardiography experience preferred
Rural hospital experience preferred
Experience with additional modalities (abdomen OB/GYN breast vascular) preferred
