Night Shift Team Lead – 12-Hour Shift

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Team Lead is an integral member of the Production Team and makes contributions to our bottom line by ensuring each shifts personnel materials and machinery are all working most effectively. This position works closely with the coordinating Shift Supervisor and other Team Leads to help direct and support our daily work. An ideal candidate will be able to leverage their stellar communication and leadership skills along with operational knowledge to effectively support our Production Team. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise and support your shifts Production Team Conduct advanced troubleshooting of machineryConduct basic maintenance or assist Operators in maintenance of machinery Ensure everyone on your shift is working safely Ensure all items produced meet Patersons quality standards Assist with new hire and existing employee training on machinery Learn the operation of our manufacturing equipment and processes with an awareness for process improvementCommunicate effectively and professionally to build strong relationships with your team Work effectively as part of a team and inspire your direct reports and colleagues to deliver top resultsKnowledge Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of manufacturing best practicesKnowledge of Paterson machinery/operations/SOPsKnowledge of computer programs including MS Office and ERP systemsKnowledge of lean practicesKnowledge of safe working practicesSkill in oral and written communicationSkill in problem solving critical thinking and decision makingSkill in building and maintaining internal and external relationshipsAbility to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively motivate teamsAbility to foster an environment committed to safetyAbility to flexible self-directed and motivated to improve processesAbility to be patient and adaptable to unforeseen changesAbility to prioritize rapidly while utilizing problem solving skillsAbility to maintain records review document for accuracy and organize document and track production ordersAbility to develop and leverage relationships with vendorsAbility to communicate effectively with team members and company managementAbility to research and analyze information and make thoughtful recommendations to managementEducation Experience and Certification: 5 years experience in a manufacturing setting; previous experience in printing or paper converting preferredHigher education/Certificate Programs in related fields (Management Operations Manufacturing etc.) are preferredWork Schedule:12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM7:15 AM).
