We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Social Worker to join our Fostering Kinship Support Team North and Central based in Chorley.

All fostering teams work in partnership with all of Lancashires Childrens Social Care teams to ensure childrens care plans are progressed with minimum delay and children are provided with the best possible care attending the required meetings to ensure appropriate planning at the early stages of a childs arrival when considering Lasting Homes and to support stability for our children and fostering families.The Fostering Service seeks to build positive relationships with professionals working with our families ensuring a strengths-based approach when meeting our children and carers needs.
About the role...
As a social worker within the Kinship Support team your role will be that of a Supervising Social Worker (SSW) who plays a pivotal role in ensuring safe stable and supportive environments for children in kinship foster care. The SSW is the professional anchor for kinship foster familiesbalancing supervision support assessment safeguarding and advocacy to ensure high-quality child-centred care. Their multifaceted role fosters positive outcomes for both kinship carers and children in their fostering journey.
Although the team is based in Chorley we cover North and Central Lancashire and occasional you will be required to travel out of area therefore access to car and the ability to drive would be essential.
This position is part time please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent the salary received will be paid on a prorata basis.
