Job Summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions (Simtra) is a world-class Contract Development Manufacturing Organization partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to bring their sterile injectable products to market. With facilities in Bloomington Indiana US and Halle/Westfalen Germany we offer a wide range of delivery systems including pre-filled syringes liquid/lyophilized vials diluents for reconstitution powder-filled vials and sterile crystallization.

Our product types include biologics and small molecules cytotoxics highly potent compounds diluents for reconstitution and vaccines which are all directly injected into patients worldwide. While our primary focus is cGMP manufacturing we offer many support services including formulation and development lyophilization optimization global regulatory support and secondary packaging. The Role:
Simtra is seeking highly motivated undergraduate and students for our Summer Internship Program. We look for diverse students with inquisitive minds and the desire to challenge themselves. Our interns work closely with industry professionals and learn quickly how to problem solve on real-world projects that contribute to clinical research and manufacturing addition to on-the-job experience we offer learning sessions with top leadership site visits to local projects and social events.


The Opportunity:
The Manufacturing Training Team is responsible for ensuring that all employees working in aseptic and support operations are properly trained qualified and continuously developed to perform their roles safely effectively and in compliance with regulatory standards. The team connects people process and compliance so employees have the skills knowledge and confidence to effectively perform their job.


Responsibilities/Projects:
Assist in outlining a comprehensive manufacturing training curriculum aligned to regulatory expectations SOPs and operational needs
Develop training tools communication materials and visual job aids such as slides quick-reference guides infographic and process flow visuals
Document and map existing training content identifying gaps redundancies and improvement opportunities
Partner with Manufacturing Trainers and SMEs (subject matter experts) to translate technical processes into clear learner-friendly training materials
Observe training sessions and floor activities to understand learner needs and incorporate feedback into the curriculum design
Contribute to the standardization of training communication across manufacturing shifts and teams

Required Qualifications:
Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Biology Life Sciences Industrial Engineering Industrial/Organizational Psychology Learning & Development Instructional Design Operations Management or related field
Strong oral and written communication skills including visual design skills
Ability to translate technical information into simple accessible training content
Experience and/or interest in training development curriculum design or process documentation
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced regulated manufacturing environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) with ability and willingness to learn new tools
Experience with Learning Management System platforms Viso or digital design tools (i.e. Canva PowerPoint advanced features etc.)
Leadership peer-training tutoring or student-teaching experience
