Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology (Leukemia & Lymphoma)
Location: Neptune NJ (Compact License Accepted)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Full-Time Nights 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts per week Every Other Weekend
Local Pay Rate: $2070 per week
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity inpatient oncology unit specializing in the care of patients with leukemia and lymphoma. This role is ideal for a clinically strong oncology nurse who is passionate about delivering patient-centered evidence-based care in a collaborative hospital environment.
The RN will practice within a professional nursing model demonstrating advanced clinical judgment advocacy and leadership at the bedside.
Key Responsibilities
Specialized Oncology Care: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients undergoing treatment for leukemia and lymphoma in an acute inpatient setting.
Clinical Assessment: Perform and document detailed patient assessments based on diagnosis acuity and functional health frameworks.
Care Planning & Implementation: Develop implement and evaluate individualized plans of care using evidence-based nursing interventions.
Chemotherapy Administration: Safely administer and monitor chemotherapy and related oncology treatments in accordance with certification standards.
Evidence-Based Practice: Promote best practices and clinical innovations to improve patient outcomes.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate care priorities and support patient flow.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute adult inpatient oncology experience with direct exposure to leukemia and lymphoma patients.
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred.
Licensure: Active New Jersey RN license or multi-state compact license.
Certifications:
BLS (American Heart Association) Required
Chemotherapy Certification (ONS) Required
Telemetry Certification Preferred
