Shifts Available: Full-Time Days & Nights Rotating Weekends
Compensation & Sign-On Incentives
Salary Range: $30.04 $41.50 per hour (Based on experience)
Shift Differentials: Nights $4.00/hr Weekends $4.00/hr
Sign-On Bonus: Nights $30000 (2-year commitment) Days $10000 (2-year commitment)
Relocation Assistance: Evaluated on a case-by-case basis
Position Overview
Are you ready to practice at the top of your license in a high-acuity environment Join a premier 585 bed Level I Trauma Center in Kansas City. Our Med-Surg units provide a dynamic setting for nurses seeking variety and clinical growth caring for a diverse adult population with complex medical surgical cardiac and neurologic conditions.
As part of a large regional health network youll enjoy the stability of a major institution with the specialized focus of dedicated units in Neuro Ortho and Nephrology.
Key Responsibilities
High-Acuity Care: Manage sicker than average Med-Surg patients including general urology and vascular post-surgical cases.
Comprehensive Assessment: Conduct nursing assessments following disease-specific protocols in a fast-paced Level I Trauma environment.
Care Coordination: Plan implement and evaluate individualized care plans while supervising non-licensed assistive personnel.
Specialized Learning: Gain experience in advanced patient monitoring and stabilization of trauma patients transitioning from critical care.
Patient Education: Provide age- and culture-appropriate emotional support and education to patients and families.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required. Recent graduates or nurses returning to acute care are welcome.
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or active Compact/Multistate license.
Certification: BLS required upon hire.
