Microsoft Security Partner Technical Presales Specialist
Location: Kuala Lumpur Malaysia (Hybrid: 23 days/week in KL office)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced technical presales specialist to support partners and customers in addressing complex security challenges and enhancing their security posture. This role focuses on advancing partner technical/sales competency by collaborating with technical teams and driving adoption of Microsoft security solutions including Microsoft Defender for Business M365 Business Premium Microsoft 365 E3/E5 Defender for Cloud Sentinel and Network Security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help to accelerate security sales opportunities and upsell Microsoft security solutions.
- Promote Microsoft security solutions by aligning them with customer needs and demonstrating competitive advantages.
- Lead technical enablement sessions presentations demos and workshops to accelerate deals and support upselling.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for partners ensuring technical wins and supporting revenue targets.
- Deliver end-to-end security value propositions focusing on Zero Trust and M365 E5 Security solutions.
- Guide partners through technical adoption architecture patterns and proof of concepts.
- Identify and resolve technical and competitive blockers acting as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate with Partner Technology Strategists and Microsoft stakeholders to develop comprehensive security solutions.
- Support partner and field sales training and enablement.
Required Skills:
- Presales and solution selling experience is a requirement
- Strong technical knowledge of cloud security solutions including Microsoft Defender M365 Business Premium E3/E5 Defender for Cloud Sentinel Network Security MXDR and Zero Trust.
- C2 level of English (CEFR)
- Excellent listening skills and empathy to understand partner needs.
- Creative problem-solving and outside-the-box thinking.
- Effective collaboration across partner ecosystems and internal teams.
- Strong ownership mentality and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years in technical pre-sales consulting or related roles.
- Experience with Microsoft partners or vendors.
- Certifications in Microsoft 365 Security Administration or Azure Security.
- Industry certifications (e.g. CISSP CCSP IAAP).
- Familiarity with related technologies (CrowdStrike Proofpoint Splunk).
- Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

We are seeking an experienced technical presales specialist to support partners and customers in addressing complex security challenges and enhancing their security posture.
