Medical Staff Coordinator (Temporary)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Staff Coordinator to support medical staff operations within a hospital setting. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing all organizational administrative credentialing and privileging functions related to the medical staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced high-pressure healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage medical staff organizational and administrative functions

Oversee credentialing and privileging processes in compliance with applicable regulations
-
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards medical staff bylaws and hospital policies
-
Maintain compliance with National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) regulations and procedures
-
Support medical staff meetings including early morning or evening sessions as required
-
Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical staff office matters
Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Staff Coordinator in a hospital setting
-
Strong office management skills in a healthcare environment
-
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
-
High level of attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
-
Proficiency in secretarial and administrative tasks (typing word processing dictation/shorthand)
-
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required
