Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to support the inspection diagnosis repair and maintenance of construction and industrial equipment. This role may be based in a shop environment in the field or a combination of both depending on operational needs. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude a diagnostic mindset and hands-on experience working with heavy equipment systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical hydraulic electrical and diesel engine issues on heavy equipment

  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled service

  • Repair and replace components including engines pumps valves hoses and electrical systems

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures using diagnostic tools and service documentation

  • Perform shop-based repairs and/or respond to field service calls as required

  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair status clearly

  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work environment

  • Work independently while coordinating with service managers and team members

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician Diesel Technician or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines hydraulics and electrical systems

  • Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting ability

  • Experience working on construction or industrial equipment such as excavators loaders dozers skid steers or similar machinery

  • Ability to read service manuals schematics and diagnostic information

  • Valid drivers license; ability to operate equipment safely

Preferred Qualifications

  • Rental fleet construction or industrial equipment background

  • Field service experience

  • Manufacturer certifications or formal technical training

Work Environment

  • May include shop-based work outdoor job sites or field service routes

  • Physical requirements include lifting bending standing and working around heavy machinery
