Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to support the inspection diagnosis repair and maintenance of construction and industrial equipment. This role may be based in a shop environment in the field or a combination of both depending on operational needs. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude a diagnostic mindset and hands-on experience working with heavy equipment systems.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical hydraulic electrical and diesel engine issues on heavy equipment
Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled service
Repair and replace components including engines pumps valves hoses and electrical systems
Troubleshoot equipment failures using diagnostic tools and service documentation
Perform shop-based repairs and/or respond to field service calls as required
Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair status clearly
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work environment
Work independently while coordinating with service managers and team members

Required Experience and Qualifications

Prior experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician Diesel Technician or similar role
Strong knowledge of diesel engines hydraulics and electrical systems
Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Experience working on construction or industrial equipment such as excavators loaders dozers skid steers or similar machinery
Ability to read service manuals schematics and diagnostic information
Valid drivers license; ability to operate equipment safely

Preferred Qualifications

Rental fleet construction or industrial equipment background
Field service experience
Manufacturer certifications or formal technical training

Work Environment

May include shop-based work outdoor job sites or field service routes
Physical requirements include lifting bending standing and working around heavy machinery
