MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST Position

The Medical Technologist performs complex laboratory tests and analyses to assist physicians in diagnosing monitoring and treating patients. Perform various chemical and bacteriological tests. Working closely with urine blood and tissue samples prepare and examine specimen samples and communicate test results to medical professionals.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science.

Certification: American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)

Certified or Eligible for Certification.

At least 12 months clinic or hospital experience.

ASPERMONT TEXAS- STONEWALL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL DISTRICT.

1 Fulltime position for Medical Technologist; perform various chemical and bacteriological tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis & treatment of diseases in the department of Hematology Chemistry Toxicology Immunohematology and a hospital setting observe monitor record interpret & report results on test performed with accuracy; Operate computers equipment and analyzers and response to the instrument needs such as reagent quality control and calibrations; Prepares reagent performs quality control does troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on the analyzers per manufacturer and department specifications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelors degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science.

Certification: American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certified or Eligible for Certification. At least 12 months medical clinic or hospital experience.

Knowledge of laboratory procedures instruments and safety protocols.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Must demonstrate a positive professional and approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
