The Trade & Deductions Specialist plays a critical role in managing trade deductions ensuring accuracy in financial records and supporting the companys revenue recovery efforts. This position requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to collaborate across departments to resolve customer claims.

Specifically you will:

• Deduction management: Review validate and process customer deductions related to trade promotions pricing shortages delivery violations and other claims
• Retrieving customer deduction back up from various customer portals
• Research & resolution: Investigate disputed deductions by analyzing invoices contracts and promotional agreements
• Collect all past due amounts and invalid deductions in a timely and appropriate manner
• Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Sales Trade Marketing and Finance to resolve issues and prevent recurring deductions
• Documentation & reporting: Maintain accurate records of deductions resolutions and adjustments
• Continuous improvement: Identify root causes of deductions and recommend process improvements to reduce future claims

The Ideal Candidate:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field preferred
• Experience: 5 years of experience in deductions accounts receivable or trade finance (CPG industry required)
• Technical skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Analytical skills: Strong problem-solving ability with keen attention to detail
• Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams and external customers
• Team player: Collaborative approach with a focus on building strong working relationships
