Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and related reports for a public listed company in accordance with local accounting standards and Bursa Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) for management review and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and respond to audit requests including the preparation and submission of supporting documentation.
- Monitor lease arrangements to ensure compliance with MFRS 16 and manage monthly lease accounting entries.
- Prepare monthly provisional tax computations and submit tax-related manual journal entries in SAP.
- Prepare statements of cash flows and compute deferred income tax balances.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly Bursa Malaysia reporting.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting workings.
- Provide analytical commentary on movements in Statement of Financial Position items.
- Liaise and collaborate with various business units to support financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting / Professional qualification (ACCA CPA MICPA others)
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in accounting and auditing. However fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong conceptual skills for looking forward and appreciating business processes and systems
- Strong in statistical and financial analysis
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proficiency in SAP application is an added advantage
