Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Insurance Specialist to support insurance-related processes and ensure accurate handling of patient or client coverage information. This role is responsible for verifying insurance eligibility processing claims obtaining prior authorizations and serving as a liaison between clients providers and insurance carriers.
Tyler TX
Monday - Friday / 8am - 5pm
Pay - $16/hr - $17/hr (weekly pay)
Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance eligibility benefits and coverage details
- Process and submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Obtain and track prior authorizations and referrals
- Resolve claim denials discrepancies and billing issues
- Communicate with insurance carriers clients and internal teams
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with policy guidelines
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in insurance verification billing or claims processing
- Strong understanding of insurance plans policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with billing systems EHR/EMR and office software
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
