The Role

As a Senior Technical Consultant Environmental Engineer with Worley you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

This role will work closely with the Geomatics & Data Management Lead and Specialist Geomatics Engineer (Environmental Data Manager) in Australia to scale up our Environmental Data Management services to the global business. Be part of team migrating projects using legacy information management systems to EQuIS as part of combined APAC team working with Earthsoft.

  • Lead large scale data management projects and programs in APAC and abroad leveraging EQuIS ESRI and OpenGround platforms.

  • Manage environmental and geotechnical data and ensure a high level of data quality and integrity.

  • Manage data for large and small-scale and long and short-term projects and manage reporting requirements.

  • Generate reports for environmental impact assessment and remediation projects comparing to statutory and client specific guidelines.

  • Produce complex quality assurance reports assessing both internal and laboratory reporting and ensuring statutory internal and client quality targets are met and exceeded.
  • Complete data entry and converted scanned reports into electronic format.
  • Consult with external suppliers including software providers and laboratories.
  • Train and mentor staff on software use and project data management.
  • Manage software updates including testing bug identification and reporting and roll-out.
  • Provide technical support and training to users around throughout the business.
  • Write and update software manuals for company specific tasks with third party software.
  • Automate reporting where possible with the use of EIAs (EQuIS Information Agents) existing dashboards and developing valuable

    functional insights using Power BI or similar.

  • Assist with proposal development for new data management work.
  • Work with EarthSoft (EQuIS) sales and the relevant Communities of Practice to deploy projects by using best practices
  • Work with the Labs (ALS etc..) to develop best practices and working relationship.
  • Establish a data management team setting standards and protocols for data management within EQuIS. Establish collaboration with other teams (e.g. Geomatics geotechnical water resources and environmental) to develop connections between EQuIS ESRI and OpenGround as well as other reporting requirements (contamination/monitoring reporting geological data management and reporting).

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Broad understanding of environmental and geotechnical consulting services and trends in the market specific to innovative solutions in digital delivery and new technologies.
  • Experience in working with software and/or technology partners to deliver a single project or program.
  • The ability the engage directly with customers.
  • Extensive technical practical and commercial experience including proven ability in leading multi-disciplinary activities and substantial experience and proven track record in managing projects.
  • Experience working with laboratories.
  • Proven track record establishing and working with high value delivery teams in India.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with local and international teams.
  • Strong interest in the development of our people and how it is critically important to the success of Worley our customers and yourself.
  • Tertiary qualified or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and practices.
  • Experience with EQuIS software data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Experience with OpenGround software data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Experience providing training compiling technical documentation and supporting a wide range of users from junior staff through to Project Managers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL based database systems.
  • Strong MS Access Excel and PowerBI skills preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GIS systems.
  • Working knowledge of GiNT.
  • Must have experience working in enterprise database environments and is preferred to have GIS experience (ESRI ArcGIS).
