Lead people delivery and technical direction with real impact
At Klart we help over half a million people every day navigate lifes decisions with accurate and helpful weather information. Were a small agile team building one of Swedens most loved weather services and were growing. Backed by Schibsted we also collaborate with brands like Aftonbladet and Svenska Dagbladet to reach millions of users across the Sweden.
Were now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team support our people and shape the future of our technology and products. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys combining people leadership delivery ownership and technical knowledge in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.
What youll be doing
As Engineering Manager youll report to the CEO and be part of Klarts management team. You will:
- Lead and coach a skilled distributed engineering team (Stockholm and Poland)
- Set the technical direction in alignment with business and product goals
- Own delivery prioritisation and execution together with the Product Manager
- Anticipate and mitigate technical risks and trade-offs
- Participate in architectural discussions and align technical initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Product and UX to shape roadmaps and long-term vision
- Foster a culture of trust learning collaboration and continuous improvement
- Represent the tech team in company-wide decisions and execution
- Contribute hands-on to development when needed
About you
You are an experienced engineering leader who thrives at the intersection of people technology and product. You might have:
- Experience leading software teams as an Engineering Manager Tech Lead or similar
- A solid technical foundation in software or data engineering youre comfortable reading code and enjoy staying close to tech
- A strong sense of ownership drive and curiosity you enjoy challenging assumptions and improving how things are done
- An inclusive and participatory leadership style youre a good communicator and a strong collaborator
- Humility flexibility and a solution-oriented mindset professional working proficiency

- Created a new and comprehensive user onboarding experience in our native apps to introduce our features and better capture user interest.
