We are seeking a detail-oriented Denial Prevention Analyst to join our revenue cycle team. This role focuses on denial data research analytics and coordinating prevention activities across all revenue cycle functions. The successful candidate will analyze payer denials and appeals data to identify root causes and collaborate with leadership to implement solutions that reduce future denials and write-offs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze monthly denial reports and presentations for leadership
- Create quarterly denial prevention newsletters and educational materials
- Monitor denial prevention tracking dashboards and identify trending issues
- Collaborate with Patient Access HIM/Coding Revenue Integrity and Billing teams
- Facilitate communication between revenue cycle and clinical departments
- Research payer contracts reimbursement models and state/federal guidelines
- Provide training and education to staff on denial prevention strategies
- Partner with operations finance and IT leaders to develop and validate solutions
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Accounting Business Administration Health Administration Finance Nursing or related field preferred
- 5 years of healthcare revenue cycle management experience (if no degree)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with healthcare data analysis tools and reporting systems
- Knowledge of payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Salary Range: Minimum 26.12/hour - Maximum 43.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
