SUMMARY

The Program Manager Critical Environments is responsible for the research development implementation deployment and ongoing management of the corporate critical environment program within one or a few select accounts.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Researches develops implements deploys and manages the critical environment program for assigned account(s).
  • Works in cooperation with site management client team members and/or subcontractors to implement critical environment-specific operations and maintenance strategies.
  • Leads the implementation of the critical environment program for assigned account(s). Executes the critical environment strategy in cooperation with the customers team and/or critical subcontractors.
  • Leverages information technology resources and processes while delivering cost effective services.
  • Ensures that all personnel associated with the critical sites are trained and competent in order to perform in a well-planned executed fashion sharing in the sense of urgency surrounding mission critical operations and facilities.
  • Provides leadership advice and expertise to meet all service level agreements key performance indicators and facility uptime objectives.
  • Implements operations procedures document management protocols capacity planning change management risk mitigation support disaster recovery support incident reporting point of delivery analysis etc.
  • Executes account level quality assurance program and ensures delivery of services meets or exceeds the requirements set out in the statement of work of the contract and complies with internal BGIS policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients.
  • Conducts operational and infrastructure risk assessments for critical environments as part of an ongoing risk reductions process.
  • Investigates and determines root cause of equipment failures.
  • Provides recommendations to clients for upgrading equipment and maintenance routines to reduce the risk of unplanned outages.
  • Researches through various networks for technological changes and industry best practices.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Demonstrated experience in mission critical facilities and operations with a focus on data centers andor the telecommunications industry
  • University graduation or professional certification (e.g. P. Eng CMA CGA or equivalent courses)
  • Minimum of 5 years of job related experience
  • Excellent at planning and organizing
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of building standards and requirements
  • Knowledge of mission critical procedures reliability programs and policies
  • Knowledge of industry best practices relating to mission critical infrastructure
  • Strong skills at documenting and communicating/training procedures job tasks etc.
  • Ability to implement & deploy critical facilities risk management programs
  • Strong technical skills in mechanical electrical life safety and security systems found in CE environments

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • . is preferred but not Data Centre Professional CET (Mechanical or Electrical) and/or HVAC or Electrical Interprovincial Trade license.
