The Velocity Program is not your average internship or co-op! This is a customized experience that focuses on providing you with the development and tools you need to grow your career. After successfully completing a co-op or internship with top performance we will work with you to establish your future placements. As a result you will get to learn grow and experiment within different areas of both Scotiabank and Tangerine!
The Summer Intern Enterprise Communications will support Scotiabanks Enterprise Communications function which includes teams responsible for executive communications leadership engagement and for protecting and enhancing Scotiabanks reputation in the media and with external stakeholders.
Is this role right for you In this role you will:
- Assist with research to aid in the development of internal and external communications
- Assist in the creation and development of materials for various Enterprise-led communications and initiatives
- Design banners infographics and other visuals for internal and external communications events and other initiatives
- Support the planning and execution of town halls leadership meetings and events
- Provide support for the Banks quarterly reporting communications
- Assist in the drafting of social media posts for executives
- Assist with news and social media monitoring to provide decision-makers with timely updates and analysis and to proactively identify and manage breaking issues
- Assist with award submissions
- Support the wider Enterprise Communications team with various tasks as required

- Superior written verbal and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of and experience with graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Comfort and experience using Microsoft Office including Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently
- Superior research skills
- Event planning experience is a strong asset
