Job Summary
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety takes pride in their work and understands the importance of keeping guest rooms and public areas looking well-maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing daily checks and minor repairs across guest rooms and public areas
(e.g. leaking taps door hardware light fittings silicone touch-ups basic plumbing fixes) - Patch and paint work including repairing wall damage scuffs and general cosmetic wear
- Maintaining guest facilities and hotel equipment
- Supporting scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
- Inspecting cleaning and maintaining air-conditioning filters
- Clearing walkways and ensuring external areas are safe and presentable
- Liaising with management to ensure out-of-order rooms or areas are returned to service as quickly as possible
- Identifying maintenance issues early and reporting larger repairs where required
Qualifications :
- 12 years experience in a similar handyman maintenance or facilities role
(hotel or accommodation experience highly regarded) - Demonstrated experience with patching painting and general cosmetic repairs
- Practical problem-solver who can work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable committed and flexible with shift requirements
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining presentation standards
- Good interpersonal skills and professionalism when working in guest areas
