Job Summary

Position Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cloud Architect to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) this role this Subject Matter Expert with comprehensive cloud expertise to lead enterprise-scale cloud transformations will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing cloud architectures on the AWS platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements assess cloud readiness and design scalable secure and cost-effective solutions on the AWS platform.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud architecture on AWS following best practices and well-architected framework principles and advanced architectural patterns.
  • Develop and maintain advanced cloud architecture standards guidelines and comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams including development operations and infrastructure teams.
  • Lead cloud migration projects from legacy systems to 100% cloud-based ecosystems.
  • Oversee the deployment and integration of cloud services ensuring alignment with architectural principles and business requirements.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance scalability and cost-efficiency achieving significant operational cost reductions.
  • Ensure cloud security and compliance with industry standards (GDPR PCI DSS NIST) and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with AWS services features and best practices and recommend improvements or new solutions as needed.
  • Participate in the development of cloud strategies roadmaps and governance frameworks.
  • Author thought leadership content including whitepapers and technical blog posts.

Qualifications :

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in cloud architecture and design with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing cloud architectures on AWS.
  • Extensive knowledge of AWS services including compute storage networking security and management tools.
  • Experience with developing and designing scalable highly available and fault-tolerant cloud architectures and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud computing concepts architectures and best practices and Implement cost-effective solutions and recommend appropriate instance types and pricing models.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS well-architected framework and cloud adoption framework.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2 EBS VPC S3 RDS Lambda and IAM.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills to work with cross-functional teams (developers operations security).

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional - required.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional - required.
  • Other relevant and advanced AWS certifications and Specialty is a plus.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with AWS services and best practices.
