Job Summary
Position Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cloud Architect to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) this role this Subject Matter Expert with comprehensive cloud expertise to lead enterprise-scale cloud transformations will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing cloud architectures on the AWS platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements assess cloud readiness and design scalable secure and cost-effective solutions on the AWS platform.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud architecture on AWS following best practices and well-architected framework principles and advanced architectural patterns.
- Develop and maintain advanced cloud architecture standards guidelines and comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams including development operations and infrastructure teams.
- Lead cloud migration projects from legacy systems to 100% cloud-based ecosystems.
- Oversee the deployment and integration of cloud services ensuring alignment with architectural principles and business requirements.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance scalability and cost-efficiency achieving significant operational cost reductions.
- Ensure cloud security and compliance with industry standards (GDPR PCI DSS NIST) and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with AWS services features and best practices and recommend improvements or new solutions as needed.
- Participate in the development of cloud strategies roadmaps and governance frameworks.
- Author thought leadership content including whitepapers and technical blog posts.
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Background:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in cloud architecture and design with a strong focus on AWS.
- Proven experience designing and implementing cloud architectures on AWS.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS services including compute storage networking security and management tools.
- Experience with developing and designing scalable highly available and fault-tolerant cloud architectures and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud computing concepts architectures and best practices and Implement cost-effective solutions and recommend appropriate instance types and pricing models.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS well-architected framework and cloud adoption framework.
- Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2 EBS VPC S3 RDS Lambda and IAM.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices including CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills to work with cross-functional teams (developers operations security).
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional - required.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional - required.
- Other relevant and advanced AWS certifications and Specialty is a plus.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with AWS services and best practices.
