At Wellways we believe recovery is personal strengths-based and built on connection. Our Psychosocial Support Services (PSS) have been intentionally designed in partnership with participants carers and referrals to ensure people receive timely needs based and capacity building support that promotes recovery independence and connection to ongoing psychosocial supports including the NDIS.

About the role

As a Wellbeing Worker you will play a vital frontline role supporting people across the Gippsland region. Working under the guidance of the Senior Wellbeing Worker you will provide day to day intake assessment and coordination functions ensuring people receive the right support at the right time.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a community based recovery oriented service that values collaboration flexibility and person-centred care.

What youll be doing

As a Wellbeing Worker youll deliver intake assessment referral coordination and active waitlist management across the Gippsland region. Working closely with participants families carers and partner organisations youll support people to access the right services at the right time.

Youll build strong positive relationships with key stakeholders including NDIS partners GPHN clinical services and community organisations helping to embed the service model and improve access to mental health supports across the region.

The service operates Monday to Friday 9:00am5:00pm with some flexibility for extended hours to meet participant needs.

To be successful in this role

  • Minimum Diploma and/or relevant experience in Mental Health or other related discipline
  • Current valid Drivers License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Right to Work within Australia
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
