Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized professional and energetic individual to serve as Regional Contract Support Staff. Under general supervision this position will receive review and process various day care related forms from private agencies workers and clients to provide requested day care services for eligible clients. The position will contact clients and providers to establish fees and reimbursement rates and conduct client self-certification process and recertification to initiate continued services. The position will also audit review monitor and complete monitoring and service level data reports regarding day care clients and providers and associated billing. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and focused on ensuring the Department receives the greatest value for its contract dollars. Essential Functions

  • Serves as Contract Support Staff
  • Audits reviews monitors and completes monitoring and service level data reports regarding day care clients and providers and associated billing
  • Serves as a resource for Department and private agency staff day care providers clients and foster parents regarding day care policies procedures and payment regulations
  • Maintains complex information systems of monitoring and service delivery data and develops various reports as assigned performing all related functions in a timely manner
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of high school.
  • Requires two years of experience in a community serviced by a demonstration project or a similar community experience.

Conditions of Employment

  2. Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate valid drivers license.
  3. Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position. As a result the employee should be aware that if offered non-State employment during state employment or within one year immediately after ending State employment the employee shall prior to accepting any such non-State employment offer notify the Office of the Executive Inspector General for the Agencies of the Illinois Governor (OEIG) or may be subject to a fine.
  4. This position has been found to meet the requirements in section 4A-101 of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act requiring the occupant/employee to file a Statement of Economic Interest. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420/4A et seq.) requires certain state officials and employees to file annual Statements of Economic Interest with the Office of the Secretary of State that will be made available for examination and copying by the public. All employees required to file a Statement of Economic Interest are also required to file the Supplemental Statement of Economic Interest with the Executive Ethics Commission. (See Executive Order 15-09) Fines and penalties apply to untimely filings.
