Job Summary

Our team reports on a wide range of stories including news politics immigration technology entertainment and sports. We also produce longer feature pieces for our broadcast and digital clients.
About the Role
As our Producer you will:
- Produce edit write and deliver agency video stories from both office and field
- Respond quickly to major breaking news events in a responsible manner
- Have the ability to work long hours some weekend shifts often under extreme pressure and unsupervised at times
- Have a sharp eye for visual news elements and video storytelling
- Have a thorough understanding of video technology and social media
- Have excellent communication skills
About You
Youre a fit for the Producer if you likely have:
- Minimum five years of experience as a professional video producer with a strong track record covering hard news
- Significant experience working with multimedia and video packaging teams
- Experience in broadcast or agency television newsgathering and production
- Willingness to travel to breaking news stories often at short notice
- Strong skills in driving accuracy and speed while upholding Thomson Reuters editorial principles and policies
- Understanding needs of broadcast and digital clients regionally and internationally
- Excellent English writing skills

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City San Francisco Los Angeles and/or Irvine CA; McLean VA; Washington DC.
