About the Team
You will join the Operations France & Europe team at the heart of Wakams activity.
Wakam designs insurance products that are distributed by a wide range of partners such as traditional brokers Insurtechs and ecommerce players. This activity involves building and managing complex ecosystems that bring together multiple stakeholders (distributors reinsurers thirdparty administrators assistance providers etc.).
The Operations team is responsible for the operational performance and quality of service of Wakams insurance programs across France and Europe working closely with partners and internal teams (IT Product Finance Legal etc.).
Your Mission
As an Operations Performance Intern for 6 months your mission is to support the operational monitoring of Wakams insurance programs in France and across Europe and to contribute to transversal transformation projects led by the Operations team.
1. Operational Monitoring of Partnerships
Within the Operations France & Europe team you will be responsible for the operational followup of several specific partnerships. In this context you will:
- Collect validate and analyse operational KPIsperiodically sent by Wakams partners (distributors TPAs etc.) ensuring thereliability and consistency of the data.
- Monitor the quality of daytoday policy and claims handling as well ascompliance with contractual commitmentsby partners and administrators.
- Identify operational issues or dysfunctionsthat may require corrective measures andfollow up on remediation action plansuntil resolution.
- Prepare reporting and presentation materialsto support and animatesteering committeeswith partners and administrators (dashboards summaries of incidents action plan followup etc.).
2. Contribution to Transversal Transformation Projects
You will also contribute to several crossfunctional transformation initiatives such as:
- Designing digital dashboards with the IT teamto improve thevisualisation of operational KPIsand enableautomated alertswhen performance drifts or incidents are detected.
- Formalising and improving our endtoend program monitoring processes including:
- Rationalisation of thenumber of external administrators / TPAs
- Drafting and updating proceduresand best practices
- Designing and implementing new operational controls
- Setting up and maintainingRACI matricesto clarify roles and responsibilities
What You Bring
You are a Masters student from a Business School or University with a specialisation in management finance insurance or a related field.
You ideally bring:
- A solidanalytical background with the ability to work with quantitative and qualitative data.
- An interest inoperations performance management or insurance / financial services.
- Very good command ofExcel / spreadsheet tools; knowledge of data visualisation or BI tools is a plus.
- Fluent English(written and spoken); another European language is a plus.
