Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking to hire a Surveyor for Rail & System construction project. Surveyors make precise measurements to provide data relevant to the shape contour gravitation location elevation or dimension of structures and rails for construction and other purposes.
Your role
- Maintain and verify provided control network.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated.
- Read and interpret construction drawings.
- Lay-out critical track alignment & structures and as-built track with Trolley system & Total station (Leica) and verify the accuracy of the data.
- Calculate heights depths relative positions and other characteristics of structures and rails.
- Interact with project Engineers and project coordinators and survey team to provide on-time information and solve problems to site-related issues.
- Maintain accurate Survey records documentation.
About you
- Post-secondary education in Surveying or Geomatics
- Minimum 5 years experience in construction surveying industry
- Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of office data surveying and engineering based software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skill
- GPS Rail Survey instruments and total station experience required
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Drivers license (Class G).
- Working Conditions:
- Working mostly outdoors in the elements including inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Working within tight deadlines.
- Long Hours.

Additional information
Expected compensation for this role is between $76300 - $104900 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
