JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for placing telecommunications and network service orders with vendors and partners and processing related invoices. Handles e-Rate tracking supply ordering and inventory tracking for telecommunications services and networking assets. Uses the organizations ITSM system and works with Technology Support Services to activate configure and distribute end-user cellular devices. Ensures accurate ordering tracking and distribution to support operational needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Uses the organizations ITSM system to respond to service requests and track telecommunications and networking assets.
- Responsible for placing service orders for telecommunications and network equipment supplies and services with vendors and partners.
- Ensures accurate ordering tracking and distribution to support operational needs.
- Processes service orders with vendors and partners and related invoices.
- Works with Technology Support Services to activate configure and distribute end-user cellular devices.
- Handles e-Rate and inventory tracking for telecommunications and networking services and related assets.
- Provides service and inventory reports to management as requested.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
- Associates Degree in related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university preferred.
Experience
- Three (3) years related administrative experience with proven knowledge and application within the related field required;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Knowledge Skills Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Knowledge of telephone billing and accounting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with school system administrators staff and vendors.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing Microsoft Office Suite -Word Excel Outlook and/or PowerPoint preferred).
Licenses and Certifications
Employee must retain active licenses certifications and enrollment as a condition of employment.
- Hold or be eligible for ITIL Certification issued by PeopleCert preferred; or
- Hold or be eligible for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification issued by Microsoft preferred.
