AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Engineering Intern Summer 2026 to join our Austin Texas office.

Our Internship Program Explore is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what its like to work in a professional environment and apply whats learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative and operations support to Roadway Engineering staff.
- Assist engineers with Roadway plan production tasks.
- Perform simple drafting and CAD assignments following detailed instructions.
- Coordinates operation within the organization unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
- Must have good computer skills and be able to utilize standard office software
QUALIFICATIONS
- EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into a Bachelors degree program in a related technical field.
- EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
- SPECIAL SKILLS: Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
- PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: None.

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills experience and geographical location.
