Job Summary

Lifesteps is hiring a Day Program Aide to work at the Adult Training Facility in Beaver PA.

Day Program Aides - Part-time - Monday through Friday

NO EVENINGS WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Have fun while you work and bring joy into the lives of program participants! The Disability Services Day Program Aide is responsible for assisting special needs adults with activities such as basic life skills community participation transportation vocational skills crafts and fun activities.

Staff observe and report on the accomplishments of the adult participants while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

High School Diploma/GED
Current drivers license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - provided by Lifesteps
First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months - provided by Lifesteps

Preferred:

One year experience working with individuals with disabilities in the human services field like direct care home health aide personal care attendant TSS etc.
Associates or bachelors degree in Special Education Sociology Psychology Criminology Recreational Therapy Health Education Nutrition or any other major
