What You Will Do:
- Lead multi-functional teams in the design and implementation of complex power and system optimization initiatives with a strategic focus on supporting growth initiatives
- Lead all aspects of and improve energy usage audits using advanced analytics to identify trends risks and opportunities for improvement particularly as they relate to expanded system capacity.
- Advise senior management and executive partners on system performance power initiatives and strategic direction ensuring alignment with growth objectives.
- Develop maintain and continuously improve a comprehensive library of system optimization guidelines for operational teams incorporating standard methodologies for expansion readiness.
- Analyze and interpret utility rate structures contracts and regulatory requirements to identify and capitalize on optimization opportunities.
- Prepare and review power surcharges Renewable Energy Credits and compliance documentation for regulatory bodies with a focus on supporting new and expanded operations.
- Provide recommendations for utility rate structure design to align with operations and power saving initiatives
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to advisors and junior staff fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Who You Are:
You have:
- 7 years of progressive experience in power/system optimization electric utility operations or related fields in addition to a bachelors degree in electrical engineering data science mathematics or a related field with economics business and engineering being preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel programming (Python R or similar) and custom software tool
You can:
- Show strong project management and leadership skills while having expertise in advanced analytics data modeling and optimization techniques
- Offer outstanding problem-solving skills intellectual curiosity and a track record of continuous learning
You are:
- An excellent written and verbal communicator who can influence and connect effectively with senior partners
The following are considered assets:
- Experience with macro-writing IT systems integration and regulatory compliance
- Recognized as an inspiring leader in system optimization within the industry
- A masters degree in electrical engineering data science mathematics or a related field
