Job Summary
Job Summary
- Purpose: Temporary role to cover for an employee on family leave in the Olympics Footwear Design team at Nike WHQ Serena Williams Building (hybrid model with remote Fridays).
- Experience: 8 10 years of expert-level industrial design experience in the footwear industry preferably with a background at major corporate footwear brands (e.g. Adidas New Balance).
- Education: Associate degree preferred but a degree is not required.
- Design Expertise:
- Expert in innovative industrial and materials design for footwear
- Strong creative portfolio and deep knowledge of creative culture
- Mastery of the entire design process from brief to manufacturing
- Advanced digital design skills (Adobe Creative Suite required; 3D/digital tools preferred)
- Communication:
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities
- Able to work effectively with multiple cross-functional partners
- Keeps leaders and teams informed on project progress
- Project Management:
- Self-starter who works independently and manages complex projects without hand-holding
- Strong understanding of footwear product creation processes
- Business & Insights:
- Mastery of business context and ability to leverage consumer and market insights
- Experience collaborating with athletes development innovation manufacturing product merchandising sustainability operations and mentoring roles
- Key Partners:
- Will work closely with athletes design triad development innovation manufacturing mentoring operations product merchandising and sustainability teams
