Your Role as Mechanical Engineering Intern

Reporting to the Supervisor of Mechanical Engineering Services the Mechanical Engineering Intern will be working under the guidance and supervision of senior engineers. The Mechanical Engineering Intern is responsible for performing basic calculations drafting designs and assisting with project management tasks. They assist in the development of engineering deliverables and participate in site visits and inspections to review engineering systems as required. They are expected to apply engineering principles ensure accuracy in their work and effectively communicate with team members and clients.


Your Key Accountabilities

  • Technical and Documentation
    • Perform analysis and design for a variety ofmechanicalsystems to applicable codes and regulations under the guidance of licensed professional engineers.
    • Developmechanicalengineering drawings specifications and technical reports under the guidance of licensed professional engineers and senior designers.
    • Conduct site visits for data collectionand QAQC during construction.
    • Conduct site visitsunder supervisionto performmechanicalassessmentsidentifypotential deficienciesand provide recommendations for remedial action.
    • Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team to develop comprehensive design solutions that meet project requirements andobjectives.
  • Project Coordination and Management
    • Assistwith planning and executing project tasks.
    • Assistin tracking project progress and reporting issues.
    • Provides administrative support to project teams.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in training and certification programs as.
    • Attend relevant industry workshops and seminars as.
    • Engage inlearning opportunities to develop technical and professional skills.



Qualifications

  • A degree in mechanical engineering is required.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles industry codes and regulations is required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or other similar CAD software is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites applications is required.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high quality work.
  • Strong commitment to safety quality and sustainable design practices.
  • Willingness to travel as required and attend meetings and field visits at client sites.
  • Valid Drivers License is required.


Term:
Full-Time Permanent
(40 hours/week)
