About the role
As an Electronic Engineering Intern you will join a cross-functional engineering team to support the design testing and improvement of electronic sub-systems used in medical devices and/or supporting equipment. This internship is intentionally hands-on and learning-focused offering meaningful project ownership close mentorship regular feedback and exposure to disciplined engineering best practices.
You will receive guided technical and professional development through mentoring and regular coaching touchpoints. You will gain experience working within an engineering organization that designs tests and improves technology to meet performance and compliance expectations and you will have opportunities to strengthen real-world skills in laboratory work technical documentation cross-functional collaboration and communication of technical results.
Work Mode: Boston Scientific supports a hybrid work environment with most roles being primarily onsite and occasional remote work depending on team needs.

Relocation: This role will not provide relocation support or assistance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build test and troubleshoot electronic circuits and assemblies (e.g. evaluation boards prototypes test fixtures) while documenting results and key learnings.
- Support bench testing and verification activities including executing test plans collecting and analyzing data summarizing findings and assisting with root-cause investigations.
- Assist with design updates and continuous improvement efforts on existing electronic designs or test setups; propose and evaluate design alternatives.
- Collaborate with engineering partners (e.g. R&D and adjacent functions) to deliver project milestones and gain exposure to structured development processes.
- Create and maintain clear well-organized engineering documentation (e.g. test reports lab notebooks build notes and procedures) that supports traceability and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in structured internship activities including onboarding project kickoff regular one-on-one meetings with a mentor and end-of-internship presentations or posters.
- Other duties as required.
Required qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering Electronic Engineering Computer Engineering or related academic program.
- Fundamental knowledge of electronics including circuit analysis and analog/digital concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured environment including following procedures documenting work clearly and communicating progress.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory or bench environment.
- Exceptional communication skills fluent in both written and spoken English.
Preferred qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a Masters degree (M.S. or .) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with firmware development and/or FPGA concepts is an asset.
- Coursework or project experience in embedded systems instrumentation signal conditioning PCB design fundamentals controls sensors or data acquisition systems.
- Prior internship research assistantship laboratory work or project team experience demonstrating iterative buildtestlearn cycles.
- Workingproficiencyin French.

Vos responsabilités comprendront :
- Concevoir assembler tester et dépanner des circuits et des assemblages électroniques (p. ex. cartes dévaluation prototypes bancs dessai) tout en documentant les résultats et les apprentissages clés.
- Soutenir les activités dessais sur banc et de vérification notamment lexécution de plans de test la collecte et lanalyse de données la synthèse des résultats et laide aux analyses des causes fondamentales.
- Contribuer aux mises à jour de conception et aux initiatives damélioration continue des conceptions électroniques existantes ou des configurations dessai; proposer et évaluer des solutions de conception alternatives.
- Collaborer avec des partenaires en ingénierie (p. ex. RD et fonctions connexes) afin de livrer les jalons de projet et dacquérir une exposition aux processus de développement structurés.
- Créer et maintenir une documentation dingénierie claire et bien structurée (p. ex. rapports dessai cahiers de laboratoire notes dassemblage et procédures) favorisant la traçabilité et le partage des connaissances.
- Participer aux activités structurées du programme de stages incluant lintégration le démarrage de projet des rencontres individuelles régulières avec un mentor ainsi que des présentations ou affiches de fin de stage.
- Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe au besoin.
Qualifications requises :
- Être actuellement inscrit(e) à un programme universitaire accrédité en génie électrique génie électronique génie informatique ou dans un domaine connexe.
- Connaissances fondamentales en électronique incluant lanalyse de circuits et les concepts analogiques et numériques.
- Capacité à travailler efficacement dans un environnement structuré notamment en suivant des procédures en documentant clairement le travail et en communiquant lavancement.
- Aisance à travailler dans un environnement de laboratoire ou sur banc dessai.
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication avec une maîtrise de langlais parlé et écrit.
Qualifications souhaitées :
- Poursuite active dune maîtrise (M. Sc. ou M. Ing.) en génie électrique ou électronique ou dans un domaine étroitement lié.
- Connaissance du développement de micrologiciels (firmware) et/ou des concepts liés aux FPGA un atout.
- Cours ou expérience de projet en systèmes embarqués instrumentation conditionnement de signaux notions fondamentales de conception de PCB commande/contrôle capteurs ou systèmes dacquisition de données.
- Expérience antérieure en stage en assistanat de recherche en travail de laboratoire ou au sein dune équipe de projet démontrant des cycles itératifs de conceptionessaiapprentissage.
- Maîtrise fonctionnelle du français.

Compensation for hourly non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
