Job Summary
TheSenior MotionDesign&Video Editoris animportantmember of ManulifesGlobal CommunicationsTeam. This role involves collaboratingto produce high-quality video assets and motiondesigngraphics for both internal and external channels andseniorstakeholders. Responsibilities includeend-to-endcreation of videocontent such as corporate event sizzle reels long-form narratives explainer videos internal web assets and external social and web assets along with bespoke outputs for variousexecutivestakeholdersfor use in live event productions. This multifaceted role demandsexpertisein motion designvideo editingvideo storytelling and events productionto deliver compelling content across alldigitalplatforms consistently upholding brand standardsfostering innovation in visual storytelling and pushing for high concept creative quality.
Position Responsibilities:
Role can expect the following estimated effort allocation:60%-timevideo editing40%-timemotion animation
Create sophisticated motion graphics and video element assets for content deliverables including fully animated explainer videos production assets such as lower thirds and animated info graphics.
Innovate visual story telling through animation.Demonstrating a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail ensuring high-quality motion graphic deliverables that meet client requirements and exceed expectations.
End to endpost-production.Interpret script assemble raw footagesource stockvideo addmusic SFX and transitionswith high attention to detail.
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals gather feedback and incorporate revisions to achieve the desired creative vision.
Contributeto the creative process by bringing innovative ideas and creativetreatmentsto the tableelevatingour content output.
Communicate professionally and effectivelyon a high output deadline driven team.
Understand and adhere to company brand guidelines and best practices.
Organize and manage media files efficiently.
Ensure final output isoptimizedfor different platforms.
Stayupdated with industry trends and best practices continuously refining skills and exploring new techniques topush creative boundaries andstorytelling.
Incorporate AI tools and workflows intocreative productionin alignment with responsible use guidelines and quickly evolving company protocols.
Required Qualifications:
7-10yearsofmotion design and video editing experience within agencybroadcastor corporate environment.
7 years of professional use with adobe Creative Suite
Solid portfolioshowcasinga range of motion graphics animations and video editing projects.
Proven ability to produce within the edit adding elements and structure to elevate the script.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative suite tools (Premiere Pro After Effects Photoshopetc.)
Work withteammembers and stakeholders to translate scripts into final outputs
ExpertUnderstanding ofpacing transitions and visual narrative structure.
Ability tomanage time prioritize tasksincorporatefeedbackand meet deadlinesin a fast-pacedandhigh-volumeenvironment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills especially in creative team settings.
Professional approach tomanaging and adhering to company guidelinesregardingconfidentialand sensitivematerialnon-publicinformation.
Experience creating live event media such as sizzle reels and Keynote primer videos.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with 3D motion tools likeCinema 4D Blender or Maya is a plus.
Familiarity with AI production toolsand workflowsa plus.Static design skills inIllustratorInDesignand Photoshop a plus.
Corporate/agency/broadcast photographyand or videography experience is a plus.

Salary range is expected to be between
$90000.00 CAD - $140000.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location please contact for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
