We are currently hiring one full-time and one part-time Memory Care Activity Assistant to join our Adult Day Services program at the Well-Spring Solutions Memory Care Center. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults living with memory loss.

Available Schedules:

• Full-Time: 9:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m.

• Part-Time: 12:00 p.m. 5:30 p.m.

No nights weekends or holidays.

Job Description

Memory Care Activity Assistants help plan and lead engaging activities that support participants emotional cognitive and social well-being while building meaningful relationships with both participants and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning organizing and implementing daily activity programming

• Lead group and one-on-one activities appropriate to participant abilities and interests

• Participate in staff meetings to coordinate activity planning

• Develop and maintain activity outlines

• Request and organize program supplies and materials

• Keep supply areas clean neat and organized

• Incorporate seasonal and age-appropriate projects

• Provide one-on-one interaction and support to participants

• Assist with maintaining the environment including light housekeeping

• Support meal service and ensure dining and kitchen areas are cleaned after meals

• Greet participants and families professionally and communicate caregiver messages as needed

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary education from an accredited institution OR

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with a combined minimum of five years of experience and training working with elderly individuals or adults with disabilities

• At least one year of experience caring for older adults with dementia and assisting with activity planning and implementation

• Positive creative flexible and outgoing personality
