Job Description for Power BI Developer position
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to create impactful Business Intelligence solutions converting complex data into understandable visual narratives that empower strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop & Design: Create publish and schedule interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI.
Data Modeling & ETL: Extract Transform and Load (ETL) data from various sources (SQL APIs Excel) and build efficient data models.
Implement Logic: Use DAX for complex calculations and measures within reports.
Collaborate: Work with business analysts data engineers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Optimize Performance: Ensure Power BI solutions are performant scalable and adhere to best practices.
Maintain & Support: Troubleshoot issues maintain existing BI solutions and provide user training and support.
Analyze Data: Identify trends patterns and outliers to deliver meaningful business insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in Power BI development data modeling and visualization.
Strong proficiency in Power Query (M) and DAX.
Experience with SQL for data extraction.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science IT Analytics) is often preferred.
Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have)
Knowledge of Python R or other programming languages.
Understanding of UI/UX principles.
Experience with other BI tools or cloud platforms (Azure AWS).
Required Skills:
Proven experience in Power BI development data modeling and visualization. Strong proficiency in Power Query (M) and DAX. Experience with SQL for data extraction. Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
Required Education:
