We are looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Program Manager who can do three things really well:

  1. Focus on delivery to Clients to continue building strong relationships and ensures the successful completion of key Energy projects across Australia
  2. Build a clear growth strategy for our E&I offering into high-growth markets (electrification renewables industrial decarbonisation grid connections BESS instrumentation) and
  3. Convert that strategy into wins and delivery through business development proposal leadership and program-level project management.

You will work closely with our discipline leaders and project teams to develop a healthy pipeline lead bids and oversee delivery across a portfolio of projects ensuring safety quality and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Market strategy and business development

  • Build and execute an E&I growth strategy across target sectors clients and regions (including account plans partner strategies and a prioritised opportunity pipeline).
  • Lead client engagement and early-stage shaping including solution development estimates and delivery models.
  • Drive bid plans and win strategy and coordinate inputs from engineering estimating delivery and subcontractors.

Proposals and tender leadership

  • Lead proposal development end-to-end: storyboarding writing key sections coordinating contributors ensuring compliance and managing reviews to submission.
  • Support commercial negotiations contract transitions and handover from bid to delivery.

Program management and project delivery

  • Grow and build the right team to make a real impact in the market. Help mentor and develop the existing Verbrec E&I team while growing as the market strategy developed through target sectors.
  • Own program governance across multiple projects: schedule cost scope resourcing risks and delivery performance.
  • Establish and maintain core controls (weekly reporting risk and opportunity management action registers change management and variation/TQ/RFI processes).
  • Provide clear reporting to internal leadership and client stakeholders and proactively remove roadblocks to keep delivery on track.
  • Mentor and support project managers and engineers to lift consistency client experience and delivery performance.

The role offers an opportunity to be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary engineering team working with a diverse range of clients on brownfields projects and new builds.   • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong experience across E&I delivery in heavy industry utilities energy infrastructure resources or similar complex brownfield environments.
  • Demonstrated capability across business development and proposal writing plus program or project management delivery.
  • High-calibre communication skills with the confidence to influence clients lead tender teams and align multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • RPEQ/CPEng
  • Experience leading bids for EPC/EPCM-style scopes and exposure to electrical protection HV/MV integration commissioning or operations interfaces.
