Your Key Responsibilities
When you join our team as a Federal Tax Advisory (FTA) Data & Technology Intern youll leverage advanced tools to process client data and execute tax-related computations including depreciation and research credits.
Your responsibilities will include:
Configure and calculate client research credits using EYs specialized platform EY R&D Incentives Prodigy.
Utilize tools like Excel Alteryx Access and Python to analyze and refine client data for accurate tax processing.
Conduct precise tax calculations and review reports generated by EY R&D Incentives Prodigy and other depreciation software.
Create web applications within Alteryx to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
Detect and communicate any data-related complexities or issues to the Services Manager for resolution.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have
A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science Business Analytics or related field; supported by a strong academic record.
Practical experience using Microsoft Office 365 Suite and ability to learn other software applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when certain circumstances travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A drivers license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
Ideally you will have
Ability to assimilate new knowledge.
Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into value-add analytics solutions.
Excellent teaming skills and willingness to lead client projects from a data perspective in the future.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including data complexity/issue identification and communication to upper-level team members.
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to interpret data.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting including Microsoft Copilot.

The hourly pay range for this job in the US is $36.06 $45.19 per hour. Individual salaries are based on education geographic location and alignment to the market data.
